Reclamation Bond

Reclamation Bonds (Also known as a surface mining bond, land reclamation bond,  mine reclamation bond, or a bond for just about any property that has a special use such as, a waste disposal site, etc) guarantee protection of the public health, safety, and welfare, during and after mining, or special use operations. Reclamation bonds also guarantee restoration of the land to its original condition and provides for monitoring periods, usually at least 5 years for water quality and soil stability. Reclamation bonds are  required on federal land and by various state and local governments providing permits for special land uses.
